Our first Cluster meeting for the year is Wednesday 4th March from 3-5pm followed by networking and refreshments. The programme is:
- Mitchell Lee who is on a fixed term contract at MRC will present the concept of our members-only web portal that is under development.
- Our national sponsor ANZ will host a presentation led by Rob Simcic on ‘Cluster Governance’
- We will be reporting on the approved AGMARDT funding of $150,000. (www.agmardt.org.nz ) This In-Market grant has secured funding of $75,000 with the balance of $75,000 from industry over twelve months to place a food technologist -business developer in a selected international market to gain greater understanding of how to tailor Cluster member products to Asian consumer preferences. This capability will then work in our companies to develop these products.
- Final presentation will be an interaction with MBIE officials about their Food & Beverage Innovation Project which is a valuable source of market and economic data for companies (see “What Asia wants for dinner” at www.coriolisresearch.com/reports).
