The 2021 Cawthron Marlborough Environment Awards Dinner is being held on March 5 - tickets are on sale now.

It’s a fun night out with good food and wine, and a chance to see who’s doing good work for the environment. All 26 entrants are showcased at the Awards Dinner.

The year 2020 will forever be etched in our minds because of the global pandemic. Today, however, we look back at the past year for its notable weather data, gathered by Plant & Food Research. The data is partially funded by the Marlborough Research Centre to facilitate a large range of research activities.

With the help of Marlborough company DNAiTECH anyone can now make DNA measurements in the field.

The start-up biotech company is a new Marlborough Research Centre (MRC) tenant located on MRC’s Grovetown Campus.

On a recent visit to the Bay of Plenty, NZ Dryland Forests Initiative (NZDFI) project manager, Paul Millen, observed excellent early Eucalyptus growth rates from the 2 year old durable Eucalypt trial.

The 2020 Marlborough Wine Show attracted a total of 604 wines, including 10 from NMIT students and 69 entered into the Legacy Award. Of the outstanding Marlborough wines, 49 received Gold Medals.
