Join the Celebration: Field Day with Picton Dawn Chorus - Cawthron Marlborough Environment Community Innovation Award Winners

You are invited to the next field day with the Cawthron Marlborough Environment Community Innovation award winners - Picton Dawn Chorus - on Friday 3 November.

In seven years the skilled and energetic team at Picton Dawn Chorus (PDC) have mobilised volunteers and households to trap pests and bring back native birds. They are a positive, community-driven response to deal with a degraded environment.  With Picton Dawn Chorus, the judging team found a cluster of people who have harnessed their passion for conservation and converted it into action.

Come along to learn more about the group's activities and how PDC have organized themselves into an efficient operation, making good use of technology and volunteers, and drawing on the considerable skills of its volunteers. This field day will include a garden trapping demonstration and walk along a PDC trapline on Victoria Domain.

Find out more about their great work here and please help us spread the word by sharing the invitation across your networks.

Please RSVP to Julia Brown, awards coordinator, by 1 November for catering.
