Entries close 30 October 2026
Do you have a project, initiative or business practice that is making a positive difference to the environment in Marlborough? There’s still time to enter the Port Marlborough - Marlborough Environment Awards (MEA) and put your work forward.
Held every two years, the awards celebrate the businesses, community groups and individuals working to protect and enhance our region’s environment. They also highlight how sound environmental management can make good business sense.
Good for the environment
From using resources and energy more efficiently to protecting biodiversity and improving environmental management, there are many ways to make a difference.
The awards provide an opportunity to share that work, share ideas with others and encourage more people across Marlborough to take positive action.
The awards are open to any business, community group or individual working in Marlborough. Category winners receive a cash prize and public recognition for their achievements.
Marlborough Research Centre, together with the Bioeconomy Science Institute (BSI), co-sponsors the Supreme Award, supporting recognition of outstanding environmental achievement in the region.
Take the next step
You don’t need to wait until everything is perfect to put your work forward. If you’re making a positive contribution to the environment, consider entering and sharing what you’ve achieved.
Entries close Friday 30 October 2026, with judging taking place between November 2026 and January 2027. The awards evening will be held in April 2027.
